- ✅Description: Our robust cranked hook and band hinges come in two parts a rectangular hinge plate that fits to the gate post, and a band which fits to the gate. These hinges keep the gate flush with the frame when the gate is in closed position and the cranked band allows the gate more flexibility in the positioning when fitting. Cranked hinges keep the post flush with the door/gate. These cranked pattern hook and band hinges are ideal for doors, gates and garages flush with the frame.
- ✅Features: Our cranked hinges come with powder coated weatherproof finish for maximum resistance to rust and corrosion. Heavy duty hinge bracket easily supports large gates and the hook is positioned on the inside of the post allowing the gates to open inwards or outwards. The hinge plate features a hook, and the band sits over this to secure it in place allowing the gate to be easily lifted off for maintenance.
- ✅Security: If installed with both pins up then the gate can be removed easily in the open position. To prevent unwanted removal of the gate, mount the top or bottom pin upside down depending on the weight distribution of the gate. Doors and gates over 7ft should be fitted with a third hinge to prevent the timber from warping.
- ✅Recommended Size: The general rule is that the hinge length should be at least one-third of the gate you’re hanging. For example, a 1000mm wide gate will need a 334mm hinge. Recommendation for gates over 2100mm a third hinge should be added.
